Clinical Protocols and Current Concepts of Augmentation Techniques in Aesthetic Zone
Aesthetic implant restoration in the anterior maxilla is a challenge for clinicians. Alveolar ridge and surrounding gingiva deficiencies aggravates implant placement in the aesthetic area. In aesthetic sites, the integrity of the facial bone wall dimension in the anterior maxilla is jeopardized by physiologic and structural changes postextraction. Localized ridge resorption, the consequence of socket collapse, following tooth extraction in the anterior maxilla can adversely affect esthetics, function, and future implant placement. Different grafting procedures may help preserve natural ridge contours, but a lack of available soft tissue can compromise the final esthetic outcome. An effective regenerative protocol is key to reestablish and maintain the hard and soft tissue dimensions over time.

Learning Objective :
  1. Early loss of permanent teeth in maxilla
  2. Immediate versus delayed implant placement
  3. Autologous bone graft versus xenographt
  4. Multidisciplinary approach of implant-prosthetic rehabilitation in aesthetic zone
